The Lake Bohinj area is one of stunning natural beauty, nestled in the Triglav National Park, north west Slovenia.
Our chalet in Ribcev Laz, the hamlet at the eastern end of the lake, which provides connections to other small hamlets in the area.
The walking track around the lake is 12km long and takes you through lush forests and across open grasslands
Alternatively, you can take a scenic boat ride along the length of the lake, from Ribcev Laz to Ukanc.
From Ukanc, you can visit Slap Savica (waterfall) and take the cable car up Mount Vogel for stunning views of Mount Triglav and the Julian Alps.
Amongst the activities on offer are walking, mountain biking, fishing, kayaking, parascending, skiing and snowboarding.
It is a perfect place to relax and local bars, cafes and restaurants make sure you are well nourished!
In winter, the local ski resorts at Vogel cater for all abilities due to the altitude and local geography, snow sports facilities are available much later in the season.
Transport to Vogel ski centre and equipment hire is available from Ribcev Laz.
